The Bran Flakes, a Canadian‑American indie pop group formed in Seattle in 1992, began with Otis Fodder from Montreal and Mildred Pitt from Seattle creating 4‑track bedroom recordings and hand‑dubbed cassette tapes. In 1996, they released the album I Remember When I Break Down on Ovenguard Music, followed by Hey Won’t Somebody Come and Play in 1998. Subsequent releases included I Don’t Have a Friend (2000) on Lomo Records, Bounces (2002) on their own Happi Tyme Records, and Bubbles (2007). In 2009, they signed with Illegal Art for I Have Hands and later issued Help Me (2017).
