Hello Nico is a renowned rock band that originated in Taipei, Taiwan, back in 2013. They gained fame for their unique musical style, which combines elements of pop, electronic, and rock music, as well as the hauntingly beautiful vocals of lead singer Yu-Ting Chan (詹宇庭), along with bassist Chen Hsinbow (陳信伯), guitarist and percussionist Joshua Lee (李詠恩) and drummer Jimmy Kuan (關惠中). The band's lyrics explore complex emotions and the struggles that come with life, setting them apart from many other artists in the Chinese-speaking music market. In 2014, Hello Nico signed with Black Market Music Production and released their first EP, Plankton of the City (浮游城市), which was met with critical acclaim. Their popularity continued to grow with the release of their debut album Familiar Desolation (熟悉的荒涼) in early 2015, featuring hit singles like "Flower (花)". After its release, Hello Nico embarked on a series of sold-out concerts across Taiwan, Hong Kong, and mainland China. With numerous accolades under their belt, including nominations for Best New Artist at both the 5th Abbey Road Music Awards in China and the prestigious Golden Melody Awards in Taiwan. On September 10, 2024, Hello Nico released a new EP titled Plan B: If We Return, Let's Watch the Sea (Plan B：如果回來，我們一起看海).
