The Moondoggies, a rock band from Everett, Washington, United States, was formed in 2005 by Kevin Murphy (guitar, vocals), Caleb Quick (keyboards, vocals), Carl Dahlen (drums, vocals), and Robert Terreberry (bass, vocals). The group's origins trace back to the punk rock outfit The Familiars, which Murphy started while attending Cascade High School. After collaborating with Caleb Quick, Kevin Murphy formed The Moondoggies in Everett, releasing their debut album Don't Be A Stranger in 2008. Their sophomore album, Tidelands, was released in 2010 and featured the single "Empress of the North". Another single, "What Took So Long", received notable attention from NPR Music. The band continued with Adiós I'm a Ghost (2013), recorded at Bear Creek Studios, and A Love Sleeps Deep (2018), recorded with Erik Blood. Throughout their career, The Moondoggies have toured extensively with bands such as Dawes and The Head and the Heart.
