Jörg Ewald Dähler, born 16 March 1933 in Bern, Switzerland, was a Swiss harpsichordist, conductor, and composer. He studied piano at the Bern Conservatory before specialising in harpsichord at the Freiburg University of Music, later teaching basso continuo and chamber music in Bern and Basel. His career began with performances as a soloist and conductor across Europe and Asia. Dähler received the Bern Cultural Prize and the municipal medal of Bern, and his recordings, such as Bach : Goldberg Variations (1986) and Galuppi : Musiche Veneziane (1976), were issued on the Claves label, contributing significantly to the revival of Baroque repertoire in Switzerland. He died on November 3, 2018.
