Redemption, an American progressive metal band based in Los Angeles, was formed in 2001. The band's early career began with a two-record deal with Sensory Records, releasing their self-titled debut album in 2003. This period saw the band perform at Progpower USA IV and collaborate with Ray Alder on one track of the record. In 2005, Redemption released The Fullness of Time, marking significant musical growth for the band, with more introspective lyrics. The album was recorded in Germany with producer Tommy Newton and featured Alder as a full-time member. This release solidified Redemption's status as a leading progressive metal band in the US. In 2007, they released The Origins of Ruin under Inside Out Music. Other notable albums include Alive in Color (2020) and I Am the Storm (2023), both released through AFM Records.
