Lard is an American industrial rock band formed in 1988 as a side project by Jello Biafra, Al Jourgensen, Paul Barker, and Jeff Ward. Throughout its career, several other members of Ministry also played with the group, including Bill Rieflin, Mike Scaccia, and Rey Washam. The band released the EP The Power of Lard (1989) and its debut studio album, The Last Temptation of Reid, in 1990. The single “I Am Your Clock” was also released in 1990. The group's second studio album, Pure Chewing Satisfaction, followed in 1997, and the EP 70's Rock Must Die was released in 2000. Although the group has not officially toured, the members have performed live a handful of times, primarily around the San Francisco area. The group became inactive in 2000, but the members later resumed activity in 2020.
