Ed Gein was an American grindcore band from Syracuse, New York. The group consisted of Graham Reynolds on guitar and vocals, Aaron Jenkins on bass and vocals, and Jesse Daino on drums and vocals. Ed Gein released their first EP Ed Gein in 2002, followed by the album It's A Shame That a Family Can Be Torn Apart By Something As Simple as a Pack of Wild Dogs in 2003. Their breakthrough came with the release of Judas Goats & Dieseleaters in 2005. The band shifted to a more hardcore punk-influenced sound on their third album, Bad Luck, released in 2011. Ed Gein's lyrics, primarily written by Jenkins, addressed social issues such as racism and sexism. On April 11, 2018, the band announced they had disbanded to form a new group called Shadow Snakes.
