The Treacherous Three, an American hip hop group formed in 1978, consisted of DJ Easy Lee, Kool Moe Dee, LA Sunshine, Special K, and Spoonie Gee. Their breakthrough came in 1980 with the release of "The New Rap Language" on the B-side of Spoonie Gee's single "Love Rap". This track showcased their fast-paced rapping style, known as double time rapping. In 1981, they moved to Sugarhill Records, under which they released hits like "Whip It" featuring Philippé Wynne and politically charged tracks such as "Yes We Can-Can". Internal conflicts led to their disbandment by 1985. The group reunited in 1993 to record Old School Flava, which was released the next year and included a remix of "Feel The Heartbeat" featuring Doug E. Fresh. Their final release was Back To The Old School - Turn It Up in 1999, a compilation of their greatest hits.
