Anthony Holloway, known as DJ Hollywood, is an American hip hop DJ and rapper born on December 10, 1954, in Harlem, New York. He began his career in the early 1970s, performing at venues like the Apollo Theater, Jet Set, and Lovely's in Harlem. His breakthrough came in 1975 when he performed at A Bunch of Grapes, introducing a rhythmic flow. DJ Hollywood released his first single "Shock, Shock the House" in 1980. During the 1980s, he released tracks such as "I Feel great" in 1983 and "Hollywood's Message" in 1984. The artist also released the compilation albums Rarities and Hollywood's World in 1995. He received public recognition at the 2004 Hip Hop Honors on VH1. After struggling with drug addiction, he appeared with Tha Veteranz, reuniting with Lovebug Starski.
