Nataniël le Roux, known professionally as Nataniël, was born on August 30, 1962, in Grahamstown, South Africa, and is a singer, songwriter, impresario, satirist, playwright, and author. He launched his career in 1987 with the release of his single, "Maybe Time". Since then, he has released numerous studio albums, including Work of Art (1989), Recital (1993), and Dying for Master (1994). He also staged original theatre productions and published books. In 1996, he released a four-track EP entitled The Diva Divine with opera singer Mimi Coertse. He starred in the TV series Another Life With Nataniël from 1998 to 1999 and Project Fame in 2004, and created and hosted Die Nataniël Tafel, a cooking and entertainment program on kykNET from 2012 to 2014.
