Thrum, an indie rock band from Bellshill, Lanarkshire, Scotland, was formed in 1992 by Johnny Smillie, Dave McGowan, Gary Johnston, and Monica Queen. They signed to Fire Records in 1993, releasing their debut EP Thrum E.P. and the critically acclaimed single "So Glad". Their debut album, Rifferama, was recorded in San Francisco and included the single "Purify". The band split up in 1995. Monica Queen pursued a solo career, releasing an EP in 2000 and albums in 2001 and 2004. Thrum reformed in 2011 with Ian Greher on bass, releasing Elettrorama and performing at T in the Park festival. In May 2013, with Rory McGregor now on bass, they released "All Over Again" on Mecca Holding Co.
