Peter-Lukas Graf was a Swiss flutist and conductor born in 1929. Graf studied at the Conservatoire de Paris and earned first prize in flute in 1949. Graf achieved recognition by winning first prize at the ARD International Music Competition in 1953. Between 1961 and 1966, Graf served as the chief conductor of the Lucerne Municipal Theatre and later taught at the Basel Academy of Music. Recordings include the albums Bach: Sonates pour flûte et clavecin (1986) and Bach: Sonates pour flûte et clavecin, BWV 1030, 1032, 1034, 1035 (2005). Graf premiered the work Quatuor avec flûte, op. 85 (1989) by Gottfried von Einem. Graf passed away in 2025.
