Raintime, a melodic death metal band from Pordenone, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy, was formed in 1999. The band released their first demo, Jump in the Past, in the same year. Raintime's debut album, Tales From Sadness, was released in 2005 and showcased their unique blend of death metal and power metal. In January 2007, the group signed with Lifeforce Records and released their second album, Flies & Lies, in March 2007. This album featured collaborations with Tommy Hansen, Jacob Bredahl, and Lars F. Larsen. The band's third and final album, Psychromatic, was released in 2010, via Lifeforce Records in Europe, Replica Records in France, Soundholic Records in Japan, and Bieler Bros Records in North America and the UK. Raintime disbanded in May 2012 due to internal instability within the band.
