Florent Moro, a Caledonian singer-songwriter, distils life into his songs. He first played with fire before finding his voice, his sacred fire, when he was given his first guitar as a teenager. From concerts to encounters, from burns to shivers, Florent Moro has forged his artistic identity in the pure French folk pop tradition, adding glimmers of soul, funk and rock.
A passionate self-taught musician, his aim is to restore the place of words in the musical mainstream and to share his music throughout France. A fan of convoluted phrases, these resonate differently depending on the listener's sensitivity. Her songs are a series of encouragements to never give up.
Her 1st album "Les Embruns" was released on 3 November 2023: 7 tracks of French pop with a taste for the ephemeral.
It's the culmination of 5 years' work, and the result represents Florent MORO's identity and musical style. The album is sincere and authentic, with lyrics and recordings of real instruments (piano, violin, guitar, drums, cajon, vibraslap, shaker, bass, double bass, classical guitar) and musicians from different backgrounds (New Caledonia, America, Israel, Canada). And a special thank you to all those sensitive, reserved people to whom Florent lends his voice.
Francofolies 2023: Supporting Kyo and Roméo Elvis
Despite the sad cancellation of the festival due to bad weather, Florent MORO was able to share the stage with Kyo and Roméo Elvis at the Bodega on Sunday 17 September 2023. Alone, guitar in hand, he treated the public to an exclusive 100% show featuring tracks from his new album "Les Embruns".
