My Darkest Hate is a German death metal band formed in the 1990s by Jörg M. Knittel. The group initially struggled to find consistent members but eventually secured René Pfeiffer as their vocalist. In 1998, they recorded their demo Blood Pounding Black. Klaus Sperling and Oliver Grosshans joined in 1999, leading to the recording of their first album, Massive Brutality, which was released in 2000. After Pfeiffer's departure due to health issues, Chris Simper took over vocals. My Darkest Hate signed with Massacre Records and released their second album To Whom It May Concern in 2002, which reached number 10 on the Rock Hard chart. The band performed at notable festivals such as Party.San and Summer Breeze Open Air. After a decade-long hiatus, My Darkest Hate returned with Anger Temple in 2016.
