Sub Rosa is a Brazilian progressive rock and classic rock band formed in 2006. The ensemble released the demo CD Sub Rosa in 2007, which featured the songs "Enslavement of Beauty", "Waiting for the Sun", and "Desvendando Mistérios", before recording its independent debut album, The Gigsaw, in December 2009. The album was later issued in a deluxe version by Progressive Rock Worldwide and Megahard Records in 2015. The band won the I Festival de Música Independente in 2010 with the song "Equinox", sparking overseas interest. This success led to a USA East Coast tour in October 2011, which included six shows across Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Pittsburgh, Newark, New York City, and Boston. On November 11, 2021, Sub Rosa issued the double-CD 11:11. The group's lineup includes Reinaldo José, Bárbara Laranjeira, Rômulo César, Rudolf Pinto, and Antônio 'ToSan' Ribeiro. By 2014, the band sold more than 14,000 CDs across the United States, Asia, and Europe.
