Patriarkh are a Polish black metal band that adopted their current name in 2024, continuing the activity of the group previously led by Bartłomiej Krysiuk under the name Batushka. The ensemble combines black and doom metal with Eastern Orthodox liturgical chants, choral arrangements, and religious imagery. Following the name change, Patriarkh released the single Wierszalin III (2024), introducing material from their concept album Prorok Ilja (2025). Released through Napalm Records, the album tells the story of Eliasz Klimowicz, a religious leader active in the Podlasie region during the 1930s and 1940s, and incorporates folk instruments, symphonic arrangements, Byzantine monody, liturgical chant, and Russian polyphony. Their recordings include the live releases Black Pascha – Pascha w Krakowie 2024 (2025), Utrenia (Live 2019) (2025), and Hospodi IX.XI.MMXIX Live (2025).
