K-rip is like the quiet kid in the back of the class, handed a pen and a microphone. A thirty-something caught between eras, obsessed with space and time, a disillusioned dreamer still deeply in love with rap since first hearing Sniper in 2003.
Working across diverse sonic landscapes, ranging from boom bap and trip-hop to more contemporary sounds, K-rip tackles difficult subjects head-on, including harassment, grief, and mental health. His technical writing, rich in imagery, thrives on contrasts: light and shadow, life and death, dreams and reality, fear and hope.
Rooted as much in the legacy of IAM as in the new generation represented by Youssef Swatt's and BEN plg, K-rip moves from bedroom to stage, turning life’s hardships into creative force and delivering sincere, timeless rap.
