Petr Josef Lehár was a Czech musician, composer, singer, and conductor born as Petr Hapka on May 13, 1944, in Prague. He achieved professional recognition for a musical career characterized by pop and film music and for his collaboration with the lyricist Michal Horáček. Hapka achieved professional recognition for a career that began after he studied at the Prague Conservatory under Oldřich Nový. He achieved professional recognition for composing the film score for the movie Akce Bororo (1973) and writing songs for Karel Gott and Hana Hegerová. His recording career began with the studio recording Potměšilý host (1987) followed by the studio recording V penziónu Svět (1988). Hapka achieved professional recognition for the studio recording Citová investice (1997) which received a nomination for album of the year. His discography included the studio recording Mohlo by tu být i líp (2001) and the studio recording Kudykam (2009). The artist achieved professional recognition for being inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Akademie populární hudby in 2013. Hapka died on November 25, 2014.
