Nina Gerber, born and raised in Sebastopol, California, is an American guitarist and mandolinist who first gained prominence as the accompanist for singer-songwriter Kate Wolf from 1979 until Wolf's death in 1986. Gerber's professional career began in the late 1970s after she saw Wolf perform while still in high school in 1975 and began performing with her in 1978. She has since collaborated with numerous other artists, including Chris Webster and Karla Bonoff, and was awarded the Kate Wolf Memorial Award by the World Folk Music Association in 1999. Gerber released her debut studio album, Not Before Noon, in 2001, followed by Sweet Dreams: Lullabies for Guitar in 2003, and the live album Good Music with Good People in 2007. In 2013, she released the collaborative album Apple Blossom Lane with Chris Webster.
