Daniel Carter

Daniel Carter is an American free jazz musician who plays saxophone, trumpet, and flute. His career began with collaborations and recordings alongside distinguished musicians such as William Parker, Federico Ughi, DJ Logic, and Thurston Moore. In 2007, Pendu Sound compilation album Getting Rid of the Glue was listed at number 70 in Thurston Moore’s "Top 80 of 2006." He is a member of several cooperative free jazz groups including Test, Other Dimensions In Music, and Ghost Moth. Notable albums include Live Constructions, released in 2018 with Hilliard Greene, and Seraphic Light featuring William Parker and Matthew Shipp.
