Juana La Loca is an Argentine alternative rock band formed in 1988 by the musician Rodrigo Martín. Influenced by groups including the Smiths and the Beatles, the ensemble released its debut cassette, Autoejecución, in 1991. The group performed as an opening act for Soda Stereo in 1992 and participated in the Nuevo Rock Argentino festival in 1993. That same year, the band issued its first studio album, Electronauta. In 1994, the ensemble opened for Depeche Mode at the Vélez Sarsfield stadium. Their third studio recording, Revolución (1995), featured the guitarist Joaquín Levinton. In 1997, the group recorded the album Vida modelo in California with the keyboardist Billy Preston. The ensemble later released the studio album Belleza (2002), which featured the tracks “Sábado a la noche” and “Viernes a la noche”. Their subsequent recordings included the studio albums Casablanca (2005) and Resplandece (2018).
