Impacto MC was formed in Chiapas, Mexico, in 1999 by vocalists Víctor Ernesto Vásquez and David Ricardo Álvarez Bonilla. After beginning with cover versions, the duo developed a hybrid of reggae, rap, electronic music, and Latin rhythms, introducing original songs such as “El Trenecito,” “Golosa,” and “Chiapas Complot.” Impacto MC signed with Musart and released its debut album, Golosa, in 2003. The record established the group’s playful, dance-oriented sound through tracks including “Golosa,” “Punta Electrónica,” “Rock Playero,” and “El Poder del Reggae.” Its second album, Lamento, followed in 2005 and incorporated regional Mexican elements alongside rap and reggae on songs such as “Punta Caliente,” “Aroma Femenino,” and “El Castigo 2.” After an extended period without another album, Impacto MC returned with “Vivir en Paz” in 2018 and “Mamba Negra (Remix)” in 2019, later appearing on collaborations including “Golosa Vs Trenecito,” “Hemos Regresado,” “Ármalo,” and “A lo Loco.” In 2025, the duo revisited its early material through “Golosa (Remix)” with El Malilla, Andrés Castillo, and Joss ML, as well as Zhen Ross’ electronic reworking “Punta Electrónica (Remix).” Further releases included “Khe Gozadera” and “Que Gozadera (Remix Neto Goloso).” Impacto MC continued in 2026 with “El Chapulín” and “La Mamba Negra,” while also appearing on Bucker’s “La Cagaste.”
