Tiavo is a German music collective from Saarbrücken. Singer Leandros Nassioudis founded the project in 2015, initially as a solo rapper under the name Lucy. Later that same year, producer David Turco joined as “Deon,” and the solo project became a duo. In 2016, the debut EP Fast Unfassbar was released. Rap and rock rap shaped the band’s early sound, which was audibly influenced by Rage Against the Machine. Their debut album Oh Lucy followed in 2018, reaching No. 24 on the German album charts. For the song “Outta This World”, the band collaborated with the rap group Genetikk. On tour, Tiavo played as the opening act for Mike Shinoda and the U.S. rapper NF. In 2020, the album Raock was released, followed in 2021 by Geister die ich rief. Starting in 2022, Tiavo underwent a stylistic shift: Neue Deutsche Welle, electropunk, and synthwave replaced the rap sound. In 2024, Deon leaves the band; Tiavo reorganizes as a live collective and releases the album Absolute Gewinner. At the end of August 2026, the double album Hotel Tiavo is released. It debuts at No. 4 on the German album charts, the band’s highest chart position to date. The single “Spaß am Glas” preceded the album’s release.
