Zhrine, originally known as Gone Postal, was an Icelandic death/black metal band formed in 2007 by Haukur Hannes and Nökkvi G. Gylfason in Kópavogur, Iceland. The initial lineup included Þorbjörn Steingrímsson on vocals and Jón P. Gunnarsson on drums. The band began playing hardcore music but transitioned to death metal after changes in personnel. In 2008, they released their debut album In the Depths of Despair. After a hiatus from 2014 to 2015, the remaining members reformed under the name Zhrine and shifted their musical focus towards black metal. Their first album as Zhrine, Unortheta, was released on April 8, 2016. The band's lineup underwent further changes, with Tumi Snær Gíslason replacing Stefán A. Stefánsson after the release of Unortheta.
