Swiz was a hardcore punk band from Washington, D.C., formed in 1987 by Shawn Brown on vocals and Ramsey Metcalf on guitar, who later added Alex Daniels, Nathan Larson, and Jason Farrell. The group started touring after releasing "Down" in 1987. Their debut album, Swiz, came out through Sammich Records in 1988. This was followed by Hell Yes I Cheated the next year. By this time, Larson had left and was replaced by Dave Stern on bass. The band recorded an EP titled With Dave (1992) in May 1990 but disbanded that same year. After breaking up, Swiz's discography was compiled into a single release, No Punches Pulled, released in 1993. The band briefly reunited in 2004 and 2014.
