Barney Bentall and The Legendary Hearts were a Canadian rock band formed in 1980. Initially known as Brandon Wolf, they released the EP Excerpt from the Montmartre Letters in 1979. Their breakthrough came in 1987 with a video for "Something to Live For", securing a recording contract with Epic/CBS Records. The self-titled debut album reached platinum status in Canada in 1988, featuring hits like "House of Love (is Haunted)" and "Come Back to Me". They won a Juno Award for "Most Promising Group of the Year" in 1989. The band released several albums, including Lonely Avenue (1990), Ain't Life Strange (1992), and Till Tomorrow (1997). Notable singles include "Crime Against Love" and "Livin' in the '90s". They toured extensively across Canada and into the U.S. and disbanded after releasing Till Tomorrow in 1997. Despite solo projects, Barney Bentall and The Legendary Hearts have continued to play occasional gigs together. In 2009, they released the album Unsung.
