Panel of Judges, an Australian indie rock band from Melbourne, was formed in 1997 by Dion Nania as a solo project. The group initially included Alison Bolger on bass and vocals, Michael Nichols on guitar, and Paul Williams on drums. Panel of Judges released their first EP, Blind as a Bat, in February 1998 through Chapter Music. Their debut album, Cool Fool, followed later that year. In 2002, the band toured Europe, performing in London and Paris. They returned to Europe in 2004 to record their second album, No Scandal - No Future - In Heaven. The group continued touring internationally, visiting Japan and New Zealand, and released their third album, Bad Vibrations, on Mistletone in November 2008.
