Jason Anick was born on October 3, 1985, in Framingham, Massachusetts, and is an American jazz violinist, composer, and mandolin player. He began classical violin lessons at age six and later learned fiddle tunes from his father. At twelve, he performed for President and Mrs. Clinton. His interest in jazz grew after discovering European Gypsy jazz players. He studied engineering and music performance at the University of Hartford. In 2011, he released his debut solo album Sleepless, a modern take on Gypsy jazz featuring original compositions. He joined John Jorgenson Quintet in 2007, touring extensively and releasing One Stolen Night with them in 2012. In 2014, he released Tipping Point. He currently teaches at Berklee College of Music and performs with various ensembles including the Rhythm Future Quartet and the New Hot Club of America.
