BUMS, a German punk band from Eislingen, was founded in the 1980s. The group gained wider recognition in 1992 when they contributed to the scene compilation Schlachtrufe BRD under the name Fluchtpunkt Terror. In 1995, they reverted to their original name BUMS and released their debut studio album Fluchtpunkt Terror. Following this, they continued to release songs for various samplers, including the German Punk Invasion series. Their second album, Räumt auf!, was released in 1998. The band also became known for their Borussia Dortmund fan songs, and in 2009, they released the album Neun Zehn Null Neun to celebrate the club's 100th anniversary. BUMS played two concerts in Dortmund in May 2011 to commemorate the city’s football championship. In 2015, they released Artikel 5, a response to allegations of left-wing extremism and violence glorification by the Brandenburg Office for the Protection of the Constitution. The band became inactive in 2018.
