There are moments that mark us forever.
For Romain Alix, indie-folk singer-songwriter from Toulouse, it was in the silence of a farewell that everything changed, when the song of a departure sounded like a revelation. From then on, music became an obvious, visceral need.
At the age of 27, he tries to immortalize the moments that mark out a life, between reminiscences of the past and aspirations to a fantasized and still uncertain future.
His debut EP, “Please Play These Songs at My Funeral”, bears an intimate imprint, a sum of tracks written like shards of life. Each note, each word, carries a part of him, intended for those who count and those who have counted. A gentle way of weaving links between past, present and future.
