Composer, producer and founder of record label bigo & twigetti, Jim Perkins combines music written for instrumental performance with detailed editing and post production techniques. Ultimately favouring the studio over live performance he writes intricate work often with thirty or more parts for the same instrument to create elaborate textures, exploiting ambisonic and psychoacoustic phenomena which create a sense of depth and detail in his work.
