Aitana was introduced to Spanish music fans by a reality TV talent show in 2017, and she already had a number one single under her belt by the time the show was done. Aitana Ocaña Morales was born on June 27, 1999, in Barcelona, Spain. By the time she was 15, Aitana had begun sharing cover songs on her video-sharing platform and that same year began writing her own tracks. It was 2017 when her music career really got going, however. While studying at Ciudad Universitaria in Madrid, she was accepted for the ninth series of the televised talent show Operación Triunfo. It was while she was appearing on the show that Aitana began releasing singles. Her first, a duet with Cepeda titled “No Puedo Vivir Sin Tí,” peaked at Number 2 on the Spanish charts and was certified gold. Her second release, “Arde,” peaked at Number 15 while her third, a duet with Romero called “Lo Malo,” topped the charts and went five-times platinum, getting selected as one of the themes for International Women's Day in Spain in the process. Aitana ultimately finished Operación Triunfo as runner-up, but was already a rising star by the time the season finished. Her compilation of tracks from the show, Sus Canciones, got to Number 2 and was certified gold while her second chart-topping single, “Teléfono,” was released in July 2018, not long after her autobiography was announced. On June 7, 2019, Aitana's first full-length studio album Spoiler, distributed by Universal Spain, was released, heralded by the single “Nada Sale Mal.” The album quickly achieved pole position in the domestic charts, propelled by collaborative singles such as “Me Quedo” with Lola Índigo and “+” with Cali y el Dandee. A year later, Aitana repeated the feat with her second full-length 11 Razones, reaching Number 1 in Spain and obtaining platinum certification shortly after its release. In 2021, Aitana teamed up with Evaluna Montaner on the track “Aunque No Sea Conmigo” and released the non-album single “Berlín,” hitting Number 15 on the domestic charts.
