Biografia

Chayce Beckham, born on July 16, 1996, is an American singer-songwriter hailing from Apple Valley, California. He skyrocketed to stardom after winning the nineteenth season of the singing reality show American Idol. Before his breakout success, Chayce delved into various pursuits, working as a heavy machinery operator while also pursuing his passion for music. At age 20, he formed a reggae band known as the Sinking Sailors. Inspired by an eclectic mix of legendary musicians including Jim Morrison, Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, and country legends Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams Jr., and Hank Williams Sr., Chayce Beckham spent most of his early twenties honing his songwriting craft. In early 2021, just weeks after experiencing a harrowing car accident, Chayce Beckham wowed the American Idol judges during the audition process, securing himself a coveted spot on the show. With an outpouring of support from fans across the nation, he emerged as the winner of the competition on May 23, 2021, surpassing his fellow competitor, Willie Spence. During his remarkable American Idol run, Chayce Beckham mesmerized audiences with his heartfelt performances. Notably, his original composition "23," penned a year prior, resonated deeply with listeners and swiftly ascended to the top of the streaming charts in the US following his captivating rendition on the show. It marked a historic moment as Chayce became the first-ever Idol winner to achieve this feat with an original song. This success was followed by the release of his studio debut, Doin' It Right, on April 15, 2022.
