Inocentes

Inocentes is a Brazilian punk rock band formed in São Paulo in 1981 by former members of Restos de Nada and Condutores de Cadáver, including vocalist and guitarist Clemente Nascimento. Considered pioneers of Brazilian punk, they first gained attention through the 1982 compilation Grito Suburbano. Their debut studio album, Pânico em SP (1986), with Warner, made them one of the first Brazilian punk bands signed to a major label and was named by Rolling Stone Brazil as the sixth best Brazilian punk rock album. After briefly splitting, the group returned in 1983 with a more post-punk-oriented sound. Over the years, members such as Ronaldo Passos, Nonô, and Anselmo Monstro became central to the band’s long-running lineup. Inocentes has remained active, releasing Antes do Fim - Acústico in 2024.
