Bardeux, an American dance duo from the United States of America, was formed in 1986 by Stacy "Acacia" Smith and Tairrie B. Their first single, "Three-Time Lover", reached number 10 on Billboard's Hot Dance Singles Sales chart. In 1987, Bardeux released their debut EP Three-Time Lover. Tairrie B left the group in 1987 to pursue a solo career and was replaced by Lisa "Jaz" Teaney. In 1988, the duo released their first album Bold As Love, which included the single "Magic Carpet Ride" that peaked at number 5 on Billboard's Hot Dance Singles Sales chart and number 81 on the Billboard Hot 100. Their third single from the album, "When We Kiss", became their biggest hit, reaching number 36 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 1989, Jaz left the group and was replaced by Melanie Taylor. Bardeux's second and final album I Love The Bass was released in 1989. The title track peaked at number 68 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 3 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart.
