Robin Trower

Guitarist with Procol Harum from 1967 to 1971, and for the 1991 and 1995 reunions, Robin Trower (born near London on March 9, 1945) began his solo career with the album Twice Removed from Yesterday (1973), and enjoyed a certain success, particularly with the following release, Bridge of Sighs (1974), which attracted American audiences. His style perpetuates that of the late Jimi Hendrix throughout the decade in the guitar-bass-drums trio formula, somewhere between blues and hard rock. Robin Trower sold out stadiums, as illustrated by the album Live! (1976), another landmark album by this virtuoso instrumentalist, who also collaborated with Jack Bruce on B.L.T. (1981) and Truce (1982). He then left his historic label Chrysalis Records to form his own label, V-12 Records, through which he released his recordings over the following decades. From soloist, he moved to the role of accompanist and producer for Bryan Ferry (1993-1994, 2002), then returned to his studio work and live performances, the subject of several live albums. Still prolific in his sixth decade of activity, he released the best-selling blues albums The Playful Heart (2010), Roots and Branches (2013), Something's About to Change (2015), Where Are You Going To (2016) and Time and Emotion (2017). In 2019, the release of the 10-CD box set The Studio Albums 1973-1983 celebrates his golden age as a solo artist. The guitarist continues with No More Worlds to Conquer (2022) and Joyful Sky (2023), a collaboration with American singer Sari Schorr. Come and Find Me was released in 2025.
