Matsuko Mawatari, born on December 17, 1967, in Japan, is a Japanese singer-songwriter known for her contributions to J-rock and rock music. Her career began with the release of her debut single "君は今心臓破り" in May 1992. This was followed by another notable single, "微笑みの爆弾", which served as the opening theme for the popular anime series YuYu Hakusho. Matsuko Mawatari's early albums include 逢いたし学なりがたし (1992) and nice unbalance (1993), both of which featured her distinctive rock sound. She also contributed several ending themes to YuYu Hakusho, including "Sayonara Bye Bye" and "Daydream Generation". In the early 1990s, Mawatari Matsuko opened for the band Dreams Come True during their tour. Her discography includes a variety of albums and singles that showcased her versatility as an artist. She released the album KiseKi in 2012 under the COOLWIND LABEL, marking a significant milestone in her career. Throughout her career, she released five studio albums under various labels, including Remoras and Pit'A'Pat. Her sixth studio album, Break a Theory: Enishi, was released in November 2016.
