Sebastian Bach

Sebastian Bach is a hard rock vocalist who fronted Skid Row for a decade, during which time the band released two multi-platinum albums and a pair of Top 10 singles. He was born as "Sebastian Philip Bierk" on April 3, 1968, in Freeport, Bahamas. Largely raised in Ontario, Canada, he moved to New Jersey as a teenager to join Skid Row. The heavy metal band's self-titled debut album was released in 1989. Buoyed by Bach's high, powerful vocals and sheer charisma, the album sold more than five million copies in the US, where it also peaked at number 6 on the Billboard 200. The follow-up release Slave to the Grind debuted at Number 1 in 1991, but Bach's relationship with his bandmates soured as the decade progressed, leading to his eventual exit from Skid Row in 1996. He continued touring as a solo act and released Bring 'Em Bach Alive! in 1999. Angel Down followed in 2007 and featured the Axl Rose duet "(Love Is) a Bitchslap," which became a number 4 hit in Sweden. That same year, Bach finished his four-year run as a guest actor on Gilmore Girls, adding the TV show to a resume that also included leading roles in the Broadway shows Jekyll & Hyde and The Rocky Horror Show. He continued releasing solo albums sporadically, including 2011's Kicking & Screaming, 2013's ABachalypse Now, and 2014's Give 'Em Hell. A decade later, he released Child Within the Man, charting at number 34 in Japan along the way.
