Tiara Johnson, professionally known as TIIARA, is a distinguished musician, recording artist, and songwriter based in New Zealand.
Born on February 4, 2002, in Greenlane, Auckland, Johnson is the daughter of Aileen Phillips and Fabian Johnson. Raised in a small community south of Auckland, her musical journey commenced at the age of 6. Throughout her formative years, Johnson participated in choir activities from primary to late intermediate school, laying a foundation for her future musical pursuits.
Exposed to a diverse range of musical influences from an early age, Johnson’s musical palette was shaped by the works of artists such as Kesha, Katy Perry, and La Roux. As she matured into her teenage and young adult years, her musical inclinations transitioned towards alternative indie singers like MØ, Lorde, and Banks.
At 17, TIIARA began crafting her own musical compositions, marking a pivotal moment in her artistic trajectory. In late 2022, she officially debuted with the release of her track “Hard out Here.” Known for her introspective lyricism and emotive delivery, TIIARA’s compositions often explore themes such as drug tendencies, toxic relationships, and the complexities of adolescence.
