Edward Huntington, born Edward Huntington on October 29, 1965, in Peterlee, England, is a British singer who began his professional singing career in Italy. At age 18, he moved to London and became a music video extra and model before being discovered by Baby Records, an Italian record label. In Milan, Eddy Huntington recorded "U.S.S.R.", written by R. Turatti, M. Chieregato, and T. Hooker, which was released on ZYX Records in 1986. The song became a significant hit across Europe and the Soviet Union, peaking at number 6 in Switzerland and number 23 in Germany. Following this breakthrough, he released several other singles including "Meet My Friend" (1987), "May Day" (1988), and "Bang Bang Baby" (1988). He also released the album Bang Bang Baby in 1989. In the early 1990s, Eddy Huntington left the music industry to become a primary school teacher in the UK. He later taught at Eldon Grove Primary School in Hartlepool and Bangkok Patana School in Thailand before returning to England to head Rosebrook Primary School. In 2005, he made a brief return to music, opening the Discoteka '80s concerts in Russia alongside acts like Bonnie Tyler and Alphaville. Edward Huntington continued to release music sporadically, including "Honey Honey!" with Russian pop duo Discobonus in 2011 and "Rainy Day in May" in 2013.
