R2, whose real name is Rayann Kipre, is a French rapper of Ivorian and Ethiopian origins. Born in 2004, he grew up in Arpajon in the Essonne department and listened to rap music from an early age, before going solo. In July 2023, he made a name for himself with the video for "A$AP / Mauvais garçon", a double-sided single that attracted the attention of the rap media. On March 14, 2025, he unveiled his first ten-track album, 7/7, featuring a collaboration with Prototype and his first hit, "C'est relou", which reached No. 72. Well received by the public, who rave about his tracks on social networks, it is extended in June by a reissue entitled 7/7: 24/24, featuring seven additional tracks including "Timinik" with Yorssy, "Quartier" with Bilouki and Konieur, and the hit "Ruinart", which reaches #2 in the SNEP chart (#22 in Belgium and #28 in Switzerland). Other hits follow in the same year: "Pas le choix" (no. 36), "+91" with Niska (no. 165) and "Bushibabe " (no. 145), which are featured on the album ACTIF (January 2026), featuring contributions from Jolagreen23, Guy2Bezbar and Timar. The following month sees the release of the expanded version HYPERACTIF, with six additional tracks including new collaborations with KLN, Ronisia, D2 and Kulturr.
