Nipsey Hussle was the stage name of Los Angeles rapper Ermias Asghedom who earned attention for mixing humour into a series of mixtapes that drew on his early association with street gangs.
His releases included 'Slauson Boy' (2005), three versions of 'Bullets Ain't Got No Name' and two of 'The Marathon'. His 2013 release 'Crenshaw' featured guest artists James Fauntleroy, Rick Ross and Slim Thug and Ross joined Dom Kennedy and Trae Tha Truth on Hussle's 'Mailbox Money' in 2014. His first official album, 'Victory Lap', came out in early 2018 with guests CeeLo Green, Kendrick Lamar, P Diddy and YG. He appeared as himself in a one-off television episode of 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend' (2015) and also performed the title song.
On 31st March 2019, Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed outside of his clothing store in Los Angeles, California, USA.
