Biografia

K-Ci & JoJo is an American R&B duo from Monroe, North Carolina. The group was formed by brothers Cedric "K-Ci" Hailey and Joel "JoJo" Hailey, who rose to fame as members of the chart-topping R&B vocal quartet Jodeci in the early 1990s. After making musical contributions to the soundtrack of the films Jason's Lyric (1994) and Bulletproof (1996), and featuring on 2Pac's 1996 Number 1 single "How Do U Want It," the duo made its official debut with 1997's Love Always. Besides the Top 10 singles "You Bring Me Up" and "Last Night's Letter," the album featured the single "All My Life," which spent three weeks at Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Thanks to this success, Love Always went on to sell over 4 million copies and obtained triple-platinum certification in the US, putting the Jodeci reunion on hold. A second album titled It's Real appeared in 1999 and peaked at Number 8 on the Billboard 200 aided by the Number-2 hit single "Tell Me It's Real." In 2000, K-Ci & JoJo celebrated their tenth anniversary in the music business with the album X, which spawned the Top 5 hit single "Crazy." In subsequent years, the duo tried to replicate their initial success with mixed results—2002's Emotional barely reached the Top 20 of the R&B charts and the compilation Love (2008) was only released in Japan. In 2013, after signing an exclusive contract with Kenneth "Babyface" Edwards' Soda Pop Records, they returned with their fifth long-player My Brother's Keeper
