LOS DANIELS

Los Daniels is a Mexican rock ensemble formed in May 2007. The group initially included Ismael Salcedo, Alfonso Díaz, Miguel Ángel Ortiz, and Rasheed Durán, along with former members René Lugo and Carlos Palomares. The band released its debut studio album, Se renta cuarto para señoritas, in July 2007 through Iguana Records. In 2008, the ensemble appeared at the Vive Latino '08 festival. The group released its second studio album, Moodanza, in 2009. Subsequent recordings included the albums A casa (2010), featuring the song "Quisiera saber" with Natalia Lafourcade, and Amanecer (2013), which included the single "Tiro de gracia". The 2016 album Inmortal featured the recording "Hasta las cenizas" with Lila Downs. The band released Universo Paraíso (2018) and its seventh studio album, Serpientes y Escaleras (2021). Salcedo departed the group to perform as Isma Daniels. The current lineup consisted of Díaz, Ortiz, and Durán, who worked on a live album with the Oaxaca's Camerata.
