Shlomi Shabat, born on August 30, 1954, in Yehud, Israel, is an Israeli singer known for his career in Mizrahi music. Shabat began performing in nightclubs in New York City before releasing his debut album מן החושך חזרתי in 1987. His breakthrough came with the 1989 album בגלל הרוח, which featured collaborations with his sister Lea Shabat and composer Mika Shtarit. In 1991, Shabat participated in Kdam Eurovisión with "מכאן," finishing fifth. He also released the album אל תלכי רחוק מדי that year. Throughout his career, Shabat continued to release albums, including collaborations with notable artists like Lior Narkis. His 2003 album זמן אהבה featured hits like "בחוף של טרפטוני" and "בשם האהבה." Shabat has released a total of 17 albums.
