Whiskey Myers

Southern rock and country band Whiskey Myers formed in Palestine, Texas in 2007. Originally comprised of lead vocalist and guitarist Cody Cannon, guitarists John Jeffers and Cody Tate, bassist Gary Brown, and drummer Jeff Hogg, the group released their debut album, Road of Life, in 2008. The group began to build up a following, and word of mouth began to spread before the release of their second album, Firewater, in 2011. The album was their first to enter the Billboard charts, hitting number 26 on the Country Albums chart and Number 4 on the Heatseekers chart. Whiskey Myers’ third album, Early Morning Shakes (2014), was even more successful, rising to number 10 on the Country Music Albums chart. The group’s commercial profile continued to rise with the release of 2016’s Mud, which hit number 4. While Jamey Gleaves replaced Brown on bass, Whiskey Myers made their transition to television when they appeared in the cable series Yellowstone. The group finally reached the top of the Country Music and Indie Albums charts with the release of their self-titled album in 2019. The album also reached number 6 on the Billboard 200. The group’s sixth album, Tornillo, was released in July 2022 and reched number 10, including the hit "John Wayne" (number 21 on Hot Country Songs chart). The band followed with Whom That Sucker (2025), with lead single "Time Bomb" (number 34 on Mainstream Rock chart).
