Biografia

Formed in 2013 in the North Shore suburb of Chicago (Illinois), Louis the Child is an American electro-pop duo with a long line of hit songs on the Dance/Electronic Songs chart. Bandmates Robert David Hauldren and Frederic Judson Kennett attended the same high school in Winnetka, Illinois, and met at a Madeon performance in 2012. Within a year, they were playing shows as Louis the Child. After releasing a debut EP, Dimensions, in late 2013, Hauldren and Kennett scored a hit with their first single, "It's Strange," in 2015. Endorsed by celebrities like Taylor Swift, the song peaked at Number 38 on the Billboard Dance chart and earned the duo a string of high-profile opening gigs with acts like Madeon and The Chainsmokers. The EPs Love is Alive and Kids at Play followed in 2017 and 2018, respectively, with the latter peaking at Number 8 on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Songs and earned a gold single with the Number 12 hit "Better Not." Kids at Play also marked Louis the Child's major-label debut for Interscope Records. The group remained with Interscope for 2020's Here For Now, Louis the Child's full-length debut. Four of the album's tracks — "Free," "Every Color," "Big Love," and "Little Things" — cracked the Top 30 in the US, and the group returned that same year with a mixtape titled Candy II. Louis the Child continued issuing new material in 2021, beginning with the non-album singles "Somewhere Else" (featuring BabyJake) and "So What" (featuring Arizona).
