‘Chaos For The Fly' is the debut solo album from Grian Chatten, vocalist of Dublin’s critically-acclaimed band Fontaines D.C.
Co-produced by Dan Carey, each song here has a sweep of colour and textures that breathe life into his lucid tales. Over its nine tracks, 'Chaos For The Fly' is a record that takes in all of life’s rich emotions, transporting the listener to a place you not only want to visit, but will find yourself returning to again and again.
It’s been a defining last couple of years for Fontaines D.C., whose fourth album 'Romance’ was lauded as one of 2024’s very best, cementing their status as one of the most exciting bands in contemporary music. Topping multiple ‘album of the year’ lists around the world, Romance was quickly certified gold in the UK and saw the band nominated for two GRAMMYs and a BRIT Award among a host of accolades. This followed the highly successful ‘Skinty Fia’ in 2022, which resulted in the band taking home the BRIT award for International Group of the year, as well as the Grammy nominated 2020 album, ‘A Hero’s Death’, and their Mercury Music Prize nominated debut, ‘Dogrel’, in 2019.
Most recently, 2026 has seen Grian co-write, perform on and score nine tracks for Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, the highly anticipated feature film from series creator Steven Knight.
