Al2 El Aldeano

Aldo Roberto Rodríguez Baquero, known artistically as Al2 El Aldeano, is a Cuban rapper, composer, and activist born on March 17, 1983, in Havana. He co-founded the influential underground rap duo Los Aldeanos in 2003 with Bian Oscar Rodríguez Galá (El B), gaining recognition for their socially conscious lyrics addressing issues like poverty, racism, and police brutality in Cuba. Their debut album, Censurados (2003), marked the beginning of a prolific period, followed by notable releases such as El Atropello (2009). In 2010, they expanded their reach internationally, performing at events like Serbia's Exit Festival and Colombia's Hip Hop al Parque. After their final concert in Cuba in 2013, Al2 El Aldeano pursued a solo career, releasing albums like En3 Telas Musas (2005), Musik (2014), and La Aldea (2016). His collaborative works include projects with Silvito El Libre and contributions to Vico C's "Pánico" (2023) and Residente's "Las letras ya no importan." In 2023, he released Ciclos, a collaborative album with Raymond Daniel and Jhamy, followed by HIP HOP CON100CIA a year later.
